Service securitizations allow implementing load distribution solutions. Environments are sized according to the estimated peaks of use, which are most often on a seasonal basis. While remaining active, the replications of servers take loads, however often a smaller environment would be perfectly capable of handling all the traffic. The smaller the number of server instances, the smaller the environmental impact. Since bringing a replica back online is a simple and perfectly controlled operation, there is no benefit to maintaining server images 11 months a year, if the peak load is really only present for 1 month.
