Does the infrastructure minimize the necessary disk volumes (eg: deduplication, compression, ...)?

Precisions

The energy consumption of the storage system depends on the volume of data, on the space required on physical devices, on the ressources needed to handle the data, on the backup processes and on the security and replication systems. Any positive action taken on one of these aspects can reduce the environmental impact of the data.
